Whatever new is coming, there is always this fear that is trying to loose us so that we run before the “danger”. We must remember we are just humans and that is the “normal” prey feeling and reaction. But yet, as humans, we have the capability of learning how to control this feeling as this new thing is always something better for us, either good or bad, we will always end up with a new thing learnt, which is how we evolve as business owners but also as individuals!

Dear Jasmine, this was so interesting to read about and to be able to relate was the best part. I wasn’t able to relate to the starting a business, but I can relate to the new things that we try out and how we feel before, during, and after. When I came upon your blog, I thought that it was very interesting, how you had so many topics that everyone could relate too, especially this one. “Newness” is something that feels great at the beginning, and you feel pumped and ready for anything, but the during is probably the hardest thing. The during part, is the hardest because you feel as if your life is a mess, and you have no idea what you are doing. I could relate to this post by talking about school, work, sports, and baking (love to bake) and how trying out new things is good, but frustrating at the same time. I believe that the after part is what shapes us to being a better person, and learning not giving up. Yes, we are doing all these things that are stressing us out, but in the long run it’s all going to pay off. I always tell myself, whatever I’m doing that everything is going to pay off! Thanks for sharing it was inspiring.!!!

Hi Jasmine,
I really enjoyed reading your post. I’m merely a high school student and have no idea what it would be like to start a business of my own, but regardless, I think that what you had to say applies to other situations as well. To use myself as an example, I’m a runner. I set goals for myself all the time. The particular goals that I set for myself at the beginning of this track season have been proving themselves to be more difficult to attain than I originally planned. Like you said, it sounded like a great idea at the beginning, but now I realize how messy it can be and not as fun and exciting as I hoped. Nonetheless, we have to push through so that one day, we can look back and say that despite the hardships, we soldiered on.
Again, I truly enjoyed reading your post, especially since it is especially relevant to my life.
