For the past decade, I’ve been blessed to work with amazing creative teams to create and document unforgettable weddings. Over the years I’ve been published in national magazines (The Knot, Town&Country, Inside Weddings, Destination I Do, Ceremony, Brides, to name a few) and the most recognized wedding blogs in the world (the likes of Martha Stewart, Style Me Pretty, and Green Wedding Shoes, amongst others), but none of it would’ve been possible without the guidance and encouragement from a powerful creative team led by the desire to see our work published. For over 10 years, I learned how to hustle and get my photography seen by hundreds of thousands of people by way of publication. I created a Wedding Submission Guide and it’s everything I know about the publication process, what I’ve learned along the way, and insight from incredible industry leaders.

Featured : Your Wedding Day Magazine

When Kim and I first met, it was by way of Skype. We chatted about her wedding day, her love for Cris, and the amazing details they had planned for their wedding at Pelican Hill Resort. I was immediately struck with her care an concern for others, and the fondness she had toward her father. These characteristics manifested themselves beautifully on her wedding day (her guests were treated like royalty, and her dad planned surprises like a confetti bomb to ensure it was a joyous celebration), so it was no wonder her photos were featured in California Wedding Day Bride Ideas Magazine…

Kim and Cris hosted their friends and family to a spectacular day in Newport Beach, and it’s an honor to see their memories in print!

Featured : Domino Lifestyle + Home Magazine

There were moments when I believed we were crazy. We lived in a hotel, we lived in a house without electricity, and we lived with the constant sound of hammering and drilling for months. When the remodel of our home was completed, I almost didn’t believe it.

THERE HAD TO BE A CONTRACTOR HIDING IN THE BATHROOM!!

When the silence became our own, the sea breeze soothed us and the sunset light painted the white walls orange. After a decade of waiting for a house (and six months turning it into a home), we finally had a place to settle.

I’m beyond thrilled that one of my favorite home style magazines, Domino, featured my home on its blog today. It’s a inside look into our lives and what we hope will become a life of open doors and hearts.

I love San Diego, California. With its perfect weather, blue skies, and laid-back beach city vibe, there’s nothing not to love (yes, I realize that sentence was grammatically incorrect, but San Diego forgives me). When I was commissioned by The Lodge at Torrey Pines to photograph images for an upcoming marketing campaign, I immediately jumped at the opportunity because I love the resort…and love its proximity to one of my favorite cities. Best yet, the creative team assembled for the shoot was awesome and I was excited to photograph what they created.

A full blog post from the shoot is coming tomorrow, but today I wanted to share a piece of exciting news…the photo shoot was featured in Ceremony Magazine, on newsstands now.

She reached out as soon as she got engaged, sending a letter with photos of her and her fiancé. Shana sent a heartfelt email, shared her love story, and insisted I’d be her wedding photographer…and I was smitten. She was so sure of her decision, I immediately agreed and became excited to document her love story in Lake Tahoe. What I didn’t fully understand was just how beautiful her day would be.

Shana and Joe said their backyard wedding was a celebration for friends and loved ones, but it was a day rich with history and deep family ties. Their gorgeous wedding was featured in Ceremony Magazine and I couldn’t be happier to see their images in print.

Shana paid extra attention to all her wedding details to ensure they were a reflection of their love and personalized every step of the way…

Three days before the wedding, it was pouring rain in Lake Tahoe (it even hailed the size of golf-balls). Weddings in July along the lake are usually peaceful and glorious in the summer months, so while the bride worried the weather wouldn’t cooperate, it eventually did. In the best of ways.

Erin and Angela of Sterling Social introduced me to Danielle and Randy on a crisp evening in Los Angeles. They welcomed me into their stylish home and was greeted by their cat, who rubbed his body against my pants as he meandered by. We spent the first half of the meeting simply talking about life, love, and future dreams…and it was then when I realized I wanted to document their wedding because they were awesome people. And I love awesome people.

Danielle and Randy booked me for their wedding at the Four Seasons Beverly Hills and the day was nothing short of perfection (being chosen as Glamour Magazine’s 16 Most Beautiful Weddings of 2015) and featured in California Wedding Day Magazine. It is an honor to see their wedding photos in print.

This past June I had the honor of being the photographer for The Knot Dream Wedding. One lucky couple was given the wedding of their dreams and online voters chose everything from the wedding dress, to the honeymoon location, to the floral decor…and much more. It was a collaboration of truly amazing wedding professionals to celebrate a even more amazing couple. Together Samantha and Taylor make the world better.

Featured : The Pelican Hill Resort Magazine

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of working with a beautifully amazing couple and documented their wedding and related events. Claire and Ryan hosted their friends and family in Newport Beach for a weekend of fun and memories at Pelican Hill Resort. The night before their wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted in their honor and it was perfect in every way.

Guests were escorted from Pelican Hill Resort to the beach and greeted with champagne, a seafood bar, endless wine, and steel drum musicians. With toes buried in the sand, friends saw the bride and groom-to-be laugh and toast with reckless abandon. The event was so perfect, the Pelican Hill Resort Magazine highlighted it as a featured event.
